Traditional displays of arts and crafts, horticulture, photography, and more. OAS is located on 60 acres within the town of Olds in Central Alberta, right beside OR Hedges Campground and Centennial Park. Our Junior livestock shows are great for 4-H kids across the province.
From the fall of 1894 to now into the 21st century, OAS continues to strive for a balance between the educational and the entertainment features. Entertainment enjoyed by kids of all ages by visiting with rodeo clowns, mascots, and all the walking entertainers at our special events. Special events include our Weekend of Wheels, Chuckwagon races, Summer Synergy, and Traditional Displays. Come to the exhibition grounds and see cowboys, farmers and ranchers. Livestock shows throughout the year highlight beef, dairy, heavy horse, goats, and sheep, as well as stock dogs.
Lots of great food and fresh produce available at the Olds Farmers Markets at the Cow Palace. Christmas Markets are held in November and December. Team Roping, Chuckwagon Races, Country recording stars, heavy horse hitches, all in front of the Grandstand. You can reach us by phone, fax, cell, email, or stop into the office in person. Open Monday to Friday. Our facilities are ideal for equine events including horsemanship clinics, the Cutter's Classic, team roping, open pay riding, horse sales and shows, and our newest endeavour, Horse Racing for standardbreds. Beautiful Clydesdales, Shires, Belgian and Percheron Horses compete at the Olds Exhibition Grounds.
Mutton bustin' was introduced by the popular Jack Daines, and continues at fairs across the country. Olds Ag Society Farmers Market runs from May 23 to September 26, 2013. Click here for details.
