OAS has other facilities and products that are available to organizations for meetings, shows & clinics, concessions, storage or entertainment. This includes tents on the infield, a mobile stage for entertainers in front of the grandstand, our People Mover that can go to your event, and the Administration Boardroom for your organization's meetings.

Infield Tents

There are four tents in the infield with metal frames designed for horse stabling or cattle sales. These can also be utilized for boat and RV storage. The 8-outlet wash rack easily services 150 head, and features overhead lights. A Digital Scale helps speed up the weighing of the beef cattle exhibited at fair-time.

Administration Building

Built in 1994, the Administration Building is completely furnished with up-to-date office equipment. It features a kitchen area and round meeting table. The Boardroom is available for rent to all organizations, and seats up to 25 people.

Meeting Rooms

The Cow Palace Boardroom is also available to host smaller meetings of 10 - 15 people. For larger groups, the Cow Palace Foyer is an ideal place to host your organization's meeting. Only applies to events that are not utilizing the entire facility (i.e. meeting, seminar, etc). Foyer and office space is included with daily rental rates on the facilities.

Concession Vendors

The rate applies to all events, whether in the Cow Palace or self-contained on the south side of the grounds. Also whether food is sold or contracted to a concessionaire.

Tables and Chairs

These are available for offsite rentals. Perfect for small weddings in the park or markets held in other facilities in the community.

Boat or RV Storage

Secure, indoor cold storage is waiting for your boat or RV at competitive prices at the Olds Fairgrounds. Units are accepted in October and can be picked up in April.

Mobile Stage

The covered stage was built in 1998 and features hydraulic jacks and is moved into place in front of the grandstand with a tractor. Equipment is protected prior to entertainers going on stage, and because of the mobility feature, we can dictate the distance between the stage and the audience. Evening entertainers, including the Johner Brothers and Patricia Conroy, have expressed great pleasure with the stage. The mobile stage is available for on-site rentals only.

The People Mover

In order to ease traffic congestion and make fair patrons more comfortable, we had our own People Mover built locally in 1995. It features seating for 30 including the Tour Guide, and a 12-volt speaker system.

This is an excellent mode of transportation for any event that covers a large area. The Olds People Mover has been rented out for the Olds College Open House, Red Deer Westerner Days, and Torrington Pioneer Days, and you can usually see it in local parades, filled with recipients of our Rural Farm Family award.

We can also make arrangements for trade show space (foyer, arena or outdoor space), water trucks, portable toilets, and specialized footing.
