Having a Production or Bull Sale? Want to host a riding clinic? Check out the facilities in Olds first.Originally named the Livestock Pavilion, the Caluori Pavilion is probably the busiest facility on the Olds Agricultural Fairgrounds, being home to various light horse clinics throughout the year, stock dog clubs and various 4-H riding clubs. At Fair-time, the Caluori Pavilion is home to the Heavy Horses, one of the largest draft horse shows held in Alberta, second only to the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede.

Open Pay Riding, December to April
Open Pay Riding Rates for 2007/2008
Rates will be posted in the fall.

The Caluori Pavilion was built in 1990, is 100' x 210', and is the venue of choice for many 4-H horse clubs, the Olds and District Light Horse Association and the Mountain View Special Riders, who often meet in the Pavilion. It is located adjacent to O.R. Hedges Campground, on the south side of 54th Street on the Olds Agricultural Society Fairgrounds, where the majority of our livestock facilities can be found. The front lobby of the Pavilion measures 30 feet by 50 feet. The arena has a livestock wash rack. The most recent development is a set of six shower stalls.

The Caluori Pavilion is suited for horse shows and sales, cattle penning, and clinics.

In December of 1999, the Pavilion was renamed in honour of two very hard-working supporters of the Olds Agricultural Society, Dixie and Archie Caluori. The name change was only fitting, considering the amount of time and service the couple devoted during the twenty plus years they each have been involved with the Olds Agricultural Society. Archie Caluori was named an Honourary Life Member of the Olds Agricultural Society in 1999.
