 The return of Canadian Professional Rodeo to the Fair in Olds in 1998 was such a success, that the Olds Agricultural Society's Board of Directors have incorporated the rodeo into the fair every year since. In fact, in 2008, the Olds Fair & Rodeo was ranked 7th amongst the sixty rodeos held annually in Canada! Each year the rodeo has some extra surprises, so be sure to spend your afternoons being wowed by the heart-wrenching work of the participants.

During the hot summer days, sometimes there's nothing quite like a nice cold beer. You can quench your thirst and kick up your heals in the Buckin' Chute Beer Gardens located just west of the grandstand, where you can have a cool one with your friends and watch the rodeo or chuckwagon races at the same time! Open all three days of the Fair beginning at 12 noon.

The rodeo in Olds is a Budweiser Rodeo. Events held at the CPRA Rodeo included saddle bronc, bareback, tie-down roping, ladies barrel racing, steer wrestling, team roping, and the ever-popular, bull riding. A special addition included Team Penning. Fans are guaranteed to have a great time. Rodeo Slack is on Thursday at 1 pm.
There's definitely lots to see at the Canadian Professional Rodeo, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning at 6 p.m. in front of the Grandstand.
Saturday night's Budweiser Rodeo Dance will be on the Main Ice surface of the Olds Sports Complex. This year we are pleased to bring in Abbey Powell & Jason Hastie, better known as Deuces Wild. Currently celebrating the release of their first single "You Got Me Thinkin'" on Canadian radio, Abbey & Jason are looking forward to the release of their debut album late this summer. Deuces Wild's fresh country sound, passionate, original songs, & strong, brilliant harmonies are sure to leave you inspired and wanting more! Note: There is a $10 cover charge.
