Whether you visit a local library or museum, attend a cultural or athletic event like the Olds Fair, or participate in a conservation project, lottery fund dollars are often at work behind the scenes.
Welcome to the Olds Agricultural Society!

We hope you will enjoy your virtual tour of our facilities, and plan to take in some of the many activities we host.

Olds is less than an hour north of Calgary, in the rich farming land of central Alberta. The population of the town is over 7,200 people, mainly employed in agricultural, oil & gas, or business industries.

For 110 years, the foremost activity sponsored by Olds Agricultural Society was the Olds Fair & Rodeo, considered to be the primary social event of the year for the entire community. The Olds Fair & Rodeo always made a great family holiday, and we are continuing that tradition in 2010 with the introduction of several new Special Events.

While we've been operating the fair in Olds since 1894, there has always been more to the Ag Society than "The Biggest Little Fair in the West!"

We host an equivalent of 844 days of activity each year, including livestock shows and sales, horsemanship clinics and workshops in our riding and stabling arenas, meeting space, lots of 4-H activities, Farmers Markets, and various events on the racetrack and infield. We are proud to offer facilities for the communities in south-central Alberta to celebrate the agriculture industry in our region.
