 Olds is a growing, prosperous town in central Alberta. Situated in the midst of one of the finest agricultural areas in western Canada, Olds offers the best of urban and country living, with a stable and diversified economy, easy access to large urban centres and a clean, healthy environment. The spectacular Rocky Mountains are only an hour away.
• 34 miles (55 km) south of Red Deer Agribusiness thrives here, as do related agricultural service companies. You will also find a thriving oil and gas industry, pharmaceutical processing, and various other manufacturing ventures. Olds College is located just east of the Fairgrounds, and is dedicated to the fields of agriculture, horticulture, land and environmental management, agribusiness and rural entrepreneurship. The Olds Fairgrounds include 40 acres right in the heart of Olds, Alberta, immediately west of Centennial Park and south of O.R. Hedges Campground, at the south end of town. The street address for the Cow Palace is 5116 - 54 Street. The Stables, Caluori Pavilion, and Kiwanis Barn are south of 54th Street and the Cow Palace, racetrack and grandstand are north of 54th Street.
