RBC Dominion Securities Ambassador Program August 1, 2006

Olds Agricultural Society is very pleased to announce that RBC Dominion Securities is once again the official sponsor of the Olds Fair & Rodeo Ambassador Program. This is RBC's sixth consecutive year of support for the highly competitive scholarship program. "RBC Dominion Securities' commitment to outstanding rural youth development is truly commendable," stated program chairman Curtis Flewelling.

The RBC Dominion Securities Scholarship Program recognizes eight exceptional Olds Fair & Rodeo youth participants between the ages of 14 and 21. In excess of 200 participants exhibit horticulture, creative arts, heavy horse, sheep, dairy or beef entries and compete in a number of skill classes. They are vying to be selected as one of the top eight aggregate winners in all of the divisions. These eight individuals are then put through a rigorous program that includes teamwork, communication, leadership skills and personal development. An esteemed panel of judges representing agriculture, business and community will evaluate their skills in these areas. Ultimately three recipients are chosen to each receive a one thousand dollar scholarship. They, along with the remaining five members of the group, will be introduced and presentations will be made Sunday, August 13th in front of the grandstand immediately following the final performance of the professional rodeo.
